A boost for the birds

With the weather starting to get cooler and frosts starting to hit the ground, it's time to spare a thought for our feathered friends. The cold isn't the problem for birds as they are equipped with several layers of fluffy, insulating down. It is finding food and ensuring they eat enough of it that is the greater test for wild birds at this time of the year.

Your garden can therefore become a sanctuary for birds at this time of the year. Make sure that your feeding stations are replenished regularly and that there is fresh, ice-free, water available for them for drinking and bathing in.
